Syrian American Social Club (SASC) – Terms & Conditions

1. Purpose

The Syrian American Social Club (SASC) is a community-based organization dedicated to fostering cultural, social, and community engagement among Syrians and friends of Syria in San Diego. The Club operates on principles of respect, inclusion, and volunteerism, strictly avoiding political and religious discussions to maintain a harmonious environment.

2. Membership Eligibility & Conduct

By joining SASC, members agree to abide by the following principles:

A. Respect & Courtesy

  • All members must treat one another with courtesy and mutual respect, regardless of personal beliefs, backgrounds, or perspectives.

  • Disruptive, offensive, or disrespectful behavior toward fellow members will not be tolerated.

B. No Political or Religious Discussions

  • To ensure an inclusive and welcoming space, political and religious discussions, debates, or activities are strictly prohibited at all Club meetings, events, and forums.

  • Members must refrain from promoting any political or religious ideologies in Club activities or communication platforms.

C. Professional & Inclusive Communication

  • Members are expected to use parliamentary and respectful language in all interactions.

  • Hate speech, discrimination, harassment, or any form of verbal abuse is strictly prohibited.

D. Volunteerism & Community Spirit

  • The Club thrives on the spirit of volunteerism. Members are encouraged to contribute their time, skills, and efforts to support events, initiatives, and activities that benefit the community.

  • Active participation in Club events and initiatives is highly valued.

3. Membership Termination & Disciplinary Action

Failure to adhere to these terms may result in disciplinary actions, including suspension or termination of membership, at the discretion of the Club’s leadership.

4. Amendments to the Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated as needed. Members will be informed of any changes.
